The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, has received a congratulatory message from the President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda, on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence.
In his message, President Nausėda praised the excellent relations between Kosovo and Lithuania which are based on mutual respect, and expressed his belief that there is still untapped potential for strengthening economic cooperation and further developing political and cultural ties between the two countries.
The Lithuanian President also potentiated Kosovo’s principled stance in support of Ukraine and expressed his belief that both countries will continue to be united in facing global challenges.
Reaffirming Lithuania’s strong support for Kosovo’s European journey, President Nausėda expressed his country’s commitment to helping advance European reforms and supporting Kosovo’s aspirations for membership in the European Union.
At the end of the message, President Nausėda expressed the will to continue the close cooperation between the two countries.
