On the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo, the President of Hungary, Dr. Tamás Sulyok, has sent a congratulatory message to the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, expressing his warmest congratulations to her and all the citizens of Kosovo.
In his message, President Sulyok emphasized Hungary’s support for the development and integration of the Western Balkans, appreciating the important political, economic and social reforms that Kosovo is undertaking on its path towards membership in the European Union.
“We are convinced that the reforms necessary to achieve candidate status for membership will be successfully concluded as soon as possible,” he emphasized, expressing Hungary’s engagement in supporting this process.
President Sulyok also expressed his satisfaction with the stable development of bilateral relations between Hungary and Kosovo, especially in the field of economic cooperation. He emphasized that high-level exchanges between the two countries have helped strengthen mutual friendship and cooperation.
