The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, on the occasion of February 17th – the day of state independence, received a congratulatory telegram from the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella.
“In continuation of the friendship and closeness that unites our countries, Italy will continue to support Kosovo in its efforts to consolidate democratic institutions, in a European perspective that we hope will be increasingly tangible. “In this spirit, we will continue to work to bring Kosovo and its civil society closer to Europe, especially the younger generations,” states President Mattarella's telegram.
President Mattarella also added that Italy will continue to be at the forefront in terms of peace and security in the Balkans. “This is evidenced by our role in the NATO mission – KFOR, which we will continue to guarantee without deviating from our commitments,” says among others in the telegram of the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella.
