President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr Holiday, conveyed her felicitation to the Chairman of the Kosovo Islamic Community, Mufti Naim Tërnava and to all Muslim believers.
The felicitatory note states:
Honourable Chairman of the Kosovo Islamic Community, Mufti Tërnava,
On the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr holy day, I wish to you personally and to all Muslim believers of the Republic of Kosovo, to pass this day in peace and understanding with one another.
On this special day, after the ending of the glorious month of Ramadan, the month of sacrifice, charity, solidarity and peace, I wish upon all Muslim believers to celebrate together, in harmony and benevolence, jointly with their dearly beloved.
On this day of celebration, let us reflect on our work, engagements and obligations we have to each other, to our families, friends and to the society. Let us lend the hand of help and solidarity to all those in need. Let us work each day, with more dedication, towards building of a better future for our country, as part of the great European family, and cultivate with lots of respect the tradition of interfaith and inter cultural tolerance, as most cherished values of our society.
On this Eid al-Fitr Holiday, let us remember with great respect all those who worked for and sacrificed for our country.
