President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, on the occasion of the commencement of the new 2014 / 2015 school year, sent her felicitations to all pupils, students, teachers and parents
The felicitation states:
On the first day of another new school year, I convey my felicitations to all pupils, students, teachers and parents with wishes for a successful and prosperous year.
I would like in particular to congratulate all those pupils who are sitting on their school benches for the very first time, thus commencing a new and very important chapter of their lives, which from today onwards will be full of challenges and requirements for knowledge and new developments.
To the teachers of the Republic of Kosovo I wish a prosperous year and incessant engagements for the good proceeding of the teaching process and dedication and ability to follow the contemporary trend in education, as well as passing of the knowledge and education required by modern times, times of very dynamic development of the society.
Kosovo today needs qualitative education, a reformed educational system and professional training in teaching. Full engagement of our institutions in offering a proper system of education is also required, which will enable our children to have as qualitative education as possible. Education is the foundation in building of a society, solid foundation of the future of our country and of its general development.
This year must mark the detour in changing of the educational system, detour which will help pupils, teachers and parents in building of a future based on knowledge, which will change our present. Educational reform is a necessity, because it will keep our children and our youth within the boundaries of our state, who will in turn help their state with their contributions.
In hope that this school year will find us all engaged and with greater results, I wish you a prosperous beginning and a year of all-round success.
