President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a farewell meeting the Commander of the NATO Peacekeeping force, KFOR, General Salvatore Farina, who was accompanied by new KFOR Commander, General Francesco Figliuolo.
President Jahjaga highly praised the engagement of General Farina and thanked him for his work in Kosovo, and at the same time welcomed the new KFOR Commander, General Figliuolo. She said that KFOR Peacekeeping force has continuously played an important role in relation to Kosovo’s security, as well as for the stability of the Balkan region. She also said that institutions of Kosovo will continue to have good cooperation with the KFOR Peacekeeping force in their endeavours to offer security to all citizens of the country.
Departing KFOR Commander, General Salvatore Farina, thanked President Jahjaga for the cooperation and praised the achievements of Kosovo in different fields. He said that KFOR will continue with its mandate of offering a secure environment for all for all citizens of Kosovo.
