President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, has conveyed her felicitations to the Bishop of the Diocese of Kosovo, Monsignor Dodë Gjergji and to all catholic believers on the occasion of the Christmas Holiday.

The felicitations states:

Honourable Monsignor Gjergji,

On this holy day of Christmas, I convey my most sincere wishes to you and all the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo of catholic faith.

I wish that this holiday, which is a symbol of peace, solidarity, love and understanding among people, you celebrate in happiness, abundance, and in harmony with your most beloved ones.

This Christmas, I would like to also convey my best wishes to the Ambassadors, diplomatic representatives, KFOR Commander and KFOR soldiers, and to all other international representatives, who will be celebrating this holiday in our country.

On this day of celebrations, let us stop and reflect upon our work and upon the obligations we have to each other, to our families and friends, and to the whole society. Let us work incessantly for our common good, and let us never forget the people in need, let us show our solidarity with them and let us share with them moments of this magnificent holiday.

On this Christmas, with utmost respect, let us pay homage and honour all those who worked and sacrificed for the liberty and independence of Kosovo, and who are no longer with us.

Monsignor Gjergji, to you and all the catholic believers, I wish a Merry Christmas, with wishes that solidarity, love and understanding reigns in your families for ever.
Atifete Jahjaga
President of the Republic of Kosovo
