President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, accompanied Prime Minister Mr. Isa Mustafa, on the occasion of Orthodox Christmas holy day, visited today the Deçan Monastery.
They were received by the leader of this monastery, father Sava Janjic, to whom, as well as all other orthodox believers, the visitors conveyed their best wishes for Christmas.
President Jahjaga and Prime Minister Mustafa first visited the monastery, and afterwards had a meeting with father Janjic, with whom they discussed many important issues.
“We came here to convey our felicitations to all citizens on Orthodox Christmas. I wish that this holy feast they celebrate with their most beloved and their friends, in peace and in solidarity in helping each other”, said President Jahjaga at a statement made after the meeting.
Madam President also stated that Christmas is a special day, which conveys the message of peace, harmony and solidarity and trust in one another, and added that she conveyed the best wishes for this grand holiday of orthodox faith to father Sava on behalf of all citizens and institutions of Kosovo.
