President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting the UN WOMEN representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Macedonia, Ms. Anne Marie Esper Larsen.
Madam President praised the role which UN WOMEN has played in Kosovo and the close cooperation with the institutions of the country and the civil society. The undertaken initiatives on gender equality were also a subject of discussions at the meeting, as were the opportunities for further cooperation and the importance for Kosovo to participate in regional and international activities.
Ms. Anne Marie Esper Larsen, expressed the readiness for the continuation of the cooperation with the institutions and the civil society of the Republic of Kosovo towards advancements of the gender equality.
