The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga, received today the leaders of the responsible institutions for the rule of law, justice and European integration, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Skender Hyseni, the Minister of Justice, Mr. Hajredin Kuçi, the Minister of European Integration, Mr. Bekim Çollaku, the Chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council, Mr. Enver Peci, the Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Syle Hoxha and the Director General of the Kosovo Police, Mr. Shpend Maxhuni.
The meeting of President Jahjaga with the leaders of the responsible institutions was held with the aim of the coordination and harmonization of the inter-institutional actions in the fulfillment of the remaining recommendations in the process of visa liberalization for the citizens of Kosovo. At this meeting there was also discussed about the commitment of the Kosovo institutions in the prevention of illegal migration.
President Jahjaga and the leaders of the responsible institutions discussed about the acceleration of the process of the completion and approval of the legislative package, for better institutional coordination in the field of rule of law, for the efficiency of the judicial and prosecutorial system and agreed on the dynamics of the implementation of all the remaining recommendations for the visa liberalization process, which is already in the final stage.
