President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received the Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Malta, Mr. George Vella.
President Jahjaga and Minister Vella discussed the latest developments in our country, as well as the processes related to fulfilment of criteria of the visa liberalisation, after the signing of the Stabilisation-Association Agreement with European Union.
The two interlocutors also discussed the dialogue process between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia. Madam President highlighted the importance of implementation of agreements achieved at this process, and asked that implementation of these agreements becomes a precondition for Serbia’s integration process into European Union. Madam President emphasized that Kosovo is a promoter of peace and stability in the region, and confirmed the position of the institutions of Republic of Kosovo in building of good relations with all neighbouring countries.
President Jahjaga considers the relations between the two countries to be excellent and expressed the readiness for expansion of cooperation in all fields of mutual interest.
Madam President thanked Minister Vella for the continuous help that Malta has provided to all processes which Kosovo has gone through, and to its membership in various international organisations.
Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Malta, Mr. George Vella, emphasized the determination of his country to continue the support for all processes which Kosovo is going through, and to its European perspective.
