President Jahjaga received a delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Albania

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs/ Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting a delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Republic of Albania, lead by the Chairwoman of this Committee, Ms. Arta Dade.

President Jahjaga praised the current cooperation between the institutions of Republic of Kosovo and Republic of Albania, and emphasized the need for the expansion and deepening of this cooperation, in all fields of mutual interest.

President Jahjaga said that Kosovo has achieved considerable advances in consolidation of its statehood, establishment of an all inclusive state of law, as well as building of good neighbourly relations with all countries of the Balkan region, inclusive of endeavours to normalise relations with Republic of Serbia.

She also added that integration of Kosovo into Euro-Atlantic structures remains a priority for the institutions and citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, classifying the contractual relations with NATO through Partnership for Peace as important.

Madam President said that Albania can help Kosovo, through exchange of experiences, in achievement of standards and fulfilment of criteria for NATO and EU Membership.

Chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament for the Republic of Albania, Ms. Arta Dade, praised the advances achieved by Kosovo. She expressed the dedication of the Government of Albania in support of the institutions of Kosovo towards the reforms processes aimed at Kosovo’s integration in EU and NATO.
