President Jahjaga received a delegation of Governmental Commission for Missing Persons

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga received today the delegation of the Governmental Commission for Missing Persons, led by the chairman of the Commission, Mr. Prenk Gjetaj.

Mr. Gjetaj informed President Jahjaga about the work of the Commission and the challenges this Commission is faced with in the finding of 1,652 persons, who are still missing. He also highlighted the difficulties with which they are facing in the absence of cooperation by the institutions of the Republic of Serbia.

President Jahjaga stressed that the issue of the missing is the most serious postwar wound in Kosovo which requires greater commitment of all parties to be concluded as soon as possible. She stressed that she continues to address the issue of the missing in every international level.
