President Jahjaga paid homage in Suhareka and Krusha e Vogël

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, paid homage today in front of the bodily remnants of 27 individuals missing in action since the war time in Suhareka, who were reburied today, after their identification.

President Jahjaga also visited the village of Krusha e Vogël, where she paid homage to the bodily remnants of another 19 previously missing residents of this village.

At a statement made after the homage ceremony, President Jahjaga said:

Burying the family members, who were mercilessly massacred by the military and paramilitary forces of Serbian occupator, is a difficult and painful occurrence. But, despite its painfulness and its difficulty, it is a condolence to the families who lost their most beloved family members to know that these martyrs of our freedom will now rest in peace eternally.

We remember with piety the sacrifice made by all those men and women, so that we can today be a free nation, a dignified nation, just like all the rest of the nations of the world, with a secure future towards Euro-Atlantic integration and in eternal friendship with the United States of America.

These freedom martyrs are the best proof of us today being a free nation, a sovereign nd independent nation, realizing the ideal of many generations.
