President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, as part of markings of the KLA Epopee, paid homage today at the Prekaz Memorial Complex.
In a statement made on this occasion, President Jahjaga said:
Every year on this day, we bethink and honour the sublime sacrifice of all those who gave their lives for the state, freedom and peace. The glorious war of the Kosovo Liberation Army, deeds and heroic fall of Adem Jashari and the sacrifice of the emblematic Jashari family, as well as of all sons and daughters of ours on the altar of freedom, is the foundation of Republic of Kosovo, a sovereign and independent state, an equal of other states and nations of Europe, with a clear future towards European and Euro-Atlantic integrations and in eternal friendship with the United States of America.
