President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, upon arrival in London, met with the United Kingdom’s Foreign Secretary, Mr. William Hague, with whom she discussed the implementation of the agreement achieved in London on normalisation of relations between Republic of Kosovo and Republic of Serbia as well as the European integration process of Kosovo and the region.
President Jahjaga said that agreement reached by the Prime Minister of Kosovo and Prime Minister of Serbia, openes the European prespective for both countries and emphasized that for Kosovo and its citizens it is important that EU approves the commencemet of the negotioations for Stabilisation-Association Agreement.
UK Foreign Secretary, Mr. William Hague, praised the achievement of the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia and said that he expects its implementation in practice. Mr. Hague gave his support to Kosovo’s European integration process.
During her stay in United Kingdom, President Jahjaga will be meeting with the leaders of the both houses of the UK Parliament, MP’s and Prince Michael of Kent among others, and will be awarded the Doctor Honoris Causa honour by the University of Durham.
