President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, was received today in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, by the Crown Prince, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
President Jahjaga and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed the expansion and deepening of relations between two countries, particularly the establishment of relations in the field of economy and investments.
President Jahjaga said that Kosovo along with the consolidation of its statehood in the international stage is also concentrated on economic development and attraction of foreign investments, which will help the advancement of the country and the wellbeing of its citizens.
She also added that Kosovo has created a good business climate and that Kosovo offers great potential for investment in various fields, especially in the energy, agriculture, mining and textile industry sectors.
While expressing her gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the help which United Arab Emirates have provided to Kosovo during its state building stage, thus helping the establishment of peace and stability in the region, President Jahjaga classified as very important the expansion of cooperation in the field of economy. President Jahjaga extended an invitation to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for a team of United Arab Emirates experts visit to Kosovo in order to closely familiarise themselves with the opportunities, capacities and human and natural potential of Kosovo.
Expressing the deepest appreciation of the people of Kosovo for the help in peace keeping through the participation of United Arab Emirates troops as part of the Peace Keeping Force, for the help in re-building of Kosovo and its state building, President Jahjaga awarded Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan with the Order of Independence.
Thanking President Jahjaga for the honour and respect shown, Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the relations between two countries and expressed the readiness of his country to deepen the cooperation in other fields of interest.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his interest in the opportunities, potential and capacities of Kosovo for foreign investments and expressed readiness to evaluate the opportunities for assistance through joint projects in the field of economy.
