President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, met today with the former US envoy to Balkans, Ambassador Frank Wiesner, with whom she discussed the actual developments in the country and advancement of democratic processes.
President Jahjaga stated that continuous US military and democratic presence in Kosovo is of importance to the stability and peace of the whole region of South-eastern Europe.
Madam President pointed out that Kosovo has entered an important stage of its statehood, at which it is necessary to demonstrate political maturity and readiness to build institutions of the country, needed to accomplish the European agenda and expansion of internal reforms.
Ambassador Wiesner stated that Kosovo has made important advances and that Kosovo must continue to advance its democratic processes.
