President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, met today with a group of Members of the Republic of Kosovo Parliament, led by Mr. Petar Miletic, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament.
President Jahjaga took into consideration the issues presented by the members of the parliament related to the rights and freedoms of the ethnic communities in Kosovo, guaranteed by the Constitution of the country.
President Jahjaga assured the members of the parliament that she will continue to remain a powerful guarantor of the civic character of the Republic of Kosovo, supporter and promoter of the values ingrained in the constitution of the country, of the full respect for the constitutionality and legality and of the full realisation of the individual and collective rights of all citizens, regardless of their ethnic and religious belonging, or their size.
Republic of Kosovo is a state of all its citizens, and only together we may build a prosperous future for everyone.
President Jahjaga told the members of the parliament that she will continue to represent the political unity, in cooperation of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and encouraged them to continue consultations and harmonise the viewpoints with parliamentary groups in order to achieve acceptable solutions, which advance democratic processes and the rights of the communities.
