The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga, in accordance with her constitutional role, is developing meetings with the opposition parties of the Republic of Kosovo to inform the political leaders of the institutions of Kosovo with the efforts to fulfill the international obligations related to the establishment of Special Court.
President Jahjaga at the meeting with the leader of NISMA, Mr. Fatmir Limaj said that the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo are in coordination to fulfill the international agreement voted in the Assembly of Kosovo by 2/3 of the MPs.
President Jahjaga informed Mr. Limaj about the talks between the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and the representatives of the EU about the legislative package which is expected to be processed in the coming months.
President Jahjaga stressed the need of building a political and social consensus on the establishment of the Special Court, adding that this Court will not judge the war and the efforts of Kosovo for freedom and independence, but will deal with the charges arising from the report of the Council of Europe.
President Jahjaga during this day will also meet the leader of VETËVENDOSJE, Mr. Visar Ymer.
