President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, held today in Tegucigalpa, separate meetings with the President of Panama, Mr. Ricardo Martinelli, President of Costa Roca, Ms. Laura Chinchilla and the Foreign Minister of El Salvador, Mr. Jaime Miranda Flamenco.
President Jahjaga and President Martinelli of Panama discussed the further expansion of cooperation between the two countries, the democratic processes which Kosovo is going through as well as the help which Panama can provide in the further consolidation of its international subjectivity.
President Martinelli expressed the readiness of his country to help Kosovo in all the processes it is going through.
During a very amicable meeting, Presidents Jahjaga and Chinchilla spoke about the continuation of mutual cooperation between the two countries, especially in relation to the achievement of agreements in various fields as well as the help which Costa Rica can provide to Kosovo in the process of recognition in Central and South America.
President Jahjaga expressed her gratitude to Foreign Minister Miranda for the recognition of Kosovo by El Salvador and stated that both countries must establish good relations with each other in order to help the intensification of cooperation. She also added that the help of El Salvador for the processes of recognition by countries of Central and South America is of great importance.
During the day, Madam President also participated at the official lunch laid by the new President of Honduras for the heads of delegations attending the Presidential inauguration, in the company of the President of Panama, President of Costa Rica, President of Columbia, President of the Dominican Republic, Prime Minister of Belize, Foreign Minister of El Salvador and the Crown Prince of Spain.
President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, is visiting Honduras upon an invitation by the newly elected President of Honduras, Mr. Juan Orlando Hernández Alvarado, to participate at the official Presidential inauguration ceremony. During her first day of stay, Madam President met with the newly elected president.
During the inaugurational ceremony, President Jahjaga also met with other participating leaders.
