The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga, in a ceremony organized today, distributed the medals and the diplomas for a range of personalities decorated by her.
With the decoration “Order of Freedom”, which is given to people for their great contribution for the Freedom of Kosovo, the following persons have been decorated: Avdyl Krasniqi; Aze Brahimaj; Bislim Zeqir Makolli; Esat Ymer Berisha; Halil Alidema; Mulla Iljaz Spahiu-Broja; Halim Orana; Musa Shehzade; Ramadan Shala; Ramë Binaku; Rexhep Abdullah Kabashi; The fallen of the Gjilan massacre of the year 1944-1945; Zenel Zymer Hajrizi; Zeqir Hajrizi; Zhuj Selmani.
With the decoration “Order of Independence”, which is given to people for their contribution for the independence of Kosovo, the following persons have been decorated: Shejh Zejnelabidin Dervishdana; “Trepça”, Xhevat Qerimi.
With the decoration the Order Freedom Fighter “Adem Jashari”, which is given to people for bravery in the war for freedom, the following persons have been decorated: Abaz Thaçi; Fehmi Rama; Mentor Ismet Retkoceri; Selajdin Berisha.
With the “Presidential Medal of Merits”, which is given to people who with their work have contributed in specific areas as: education, science, culture, sports, security, civil service the following persons have been decorated: Bejtullah Kamber Mujaj; Destan Sejdi Bajraktari; Nuredin Loxha; Xhevdet Peci; Xhelku Maksuti.
