President Jahjaga condoled President Erdoğan

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, sent a condolence telegram to to the President of the republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on the occasion of the today’s terrorist attack in the town of Suruç, on the border with Syria, in which more than 28 people lost their lives and around 100 were injured:

The telegram states:

Your Excellency, with great sadness and pain we received the news of horrendous terrorist attack which occurred today in the town of Suruç, Şanliurfa province, on the border with Syria, in which at least 28 people lost their lives and around 100 were injured. In these painful moments of grief, our thoughts and prayers are with families of victims and with all the citizens of Turkey.

The fight against terrorism and extremism is a joint one and facing of these phenomena will be difficult but decisive for the future and progress of our citizens, Fight against terrorism and extremism is a common fight of ours in order to strengthen the foundations of global security and preservation of stability worldwide. Today we are together with the Turkish people, in its pain at these difficult moments when it has lost tens of youngsters, citizens of Turkey; we assure you that we shall be side by side with you and democratic world in protection of common human values and of security in general.

On behalf of the institutions and the people of Kosovo, I express sincere condolences to you and to the Turkish people.
