President of the republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, attended the official opening of the proceedings of the Europe Forum Alpbach, which is being held in Alpbach, Austria. President of the Republic of Austria, Dr. Heinz Fischer and EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security, Baroness Catherine Ashton, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, in attendance of President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Bujar Nishani, Deputy Prime Minister of Republic of Slovakia, Mr. Miroslav Lajcak, Prime Minister of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Mr. Adrian Hasler, OSCE Secretary General, Mr. Lamberto Zannieri, as well as other representatives and students from other countries of Europe, inclusive of a group of students from Kosovo and the region.
Forum Alpbach aims to build bridges of cooperation in Europe and to promote peace.
President Jahjaga, during the proceedings of the forum, will be participating together with President Nishani at a panel discussion titled “ From Reconciliation to Integration”, during which she will deliver an address and respond to the questions of the participants.
