President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga welcomed the Commander of KFOR-it General Erhard Büuhler today.
General Buühler conveyed to President Jahjaga his congratulations on her new job and expressed his personal and KFOR’s readiness for good cooperation with the President and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
President Jahjaga assessed highly the engagement of KFOR troops for peace and stability in the country, but also a number of projects in benefit of Kosovo citizens. Regarding this she stressed that KFOR cherishes a special respect of the institutions and Kosovo citizens.
She also thanked General Büuhler for the assistance that KFOR gave and is giving continuously for the Kosovo Security Forces (KSF), for building a modern force in service of all citizens of the country, especially for the assistance offered to help this force achieve the Full Operational Capacities as soon as possible , which opens the way to the further definition of their role.
