President Atifete Jahjaga received a group of representatives of the family members of the missing persons

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga, in the framework of the activities to mark the Week of the Missing, received a group of representatives of the family members of the missing persons and the chairman of the governmental commission, Mr. Prenk Gjetaj.

President Jahjaga stressed that clarifying the fate of the missing persons is one of the most serious injuries Kosovo has and expressed the institutional commitment for the fastest possible solution of this very sensitive issue.

She assured the family members that they have her full support and underlined that their fate is always on the agenda of the meetings she develops with the highest representatives of the international community both within the country and also during visits outside of Kosovo.

President Jahjaga stressed the need for more commitment and effort not only to clarify the fate of the missing persons but also put justice in place.

The coordinator of the Coordinating Council of the Family Associations of the missing persons in Kosovo, Bajram Qerkinaj on behalf of the family members thanked President Jahjaga for her commitment on revealing the fate of the missing persons and at the same time requested from her to raise the issue at the highest levels of decision making so that as soon as possible their fate to be revealed.
