The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga, within the state visit to the Republic of Albania, has met today in Tirana with the President of the Democratic Party of Albania, Mr. Lulzim Basha.
President Jahjaga and Mr. Basha discussed about the latest developments in Kosovo and Albania and the progresses that both countries have made in the strengthening of democracy, economic development and the realization of the European perspective.
President Jahjaga stressed that the development of the parliamentary democracy is essential for democratic consolidation and for the acceleration of the path of integration into the European Union.
President Jahjaga and Mr. Basha also discussed about the importance of deepening economic cooperation between Kosovo and Albania.
