The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, stated that there is no nobler mission than to ensure that today’s children never experience what we have gone through. President Osmani: Child Safety is the Foundation of Global Security

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, the Head of State of Antigua and Barbuda, Sir Rodney Errey Lawrence Williams, Governor General and First Lady of Antigua and Barbuda, commenced their official visit to our country. At the meeting, President Osmani expressed her deep gratitude for the recognition of Kosovo by Antigua and Barbuda 2015, describing this act as evidence of the principled stance of this state and a valuable contribution to strengthening Kosovo’s international position. During the discussion, both sides reiterated their commitment to further expansion of bilateral relations, based on mutual respect and shared democratic values. President Osmani emphasized the importance of cooperation in areas such as economic diplomacy, information technology, tourism and agriculture. She highlighted Kosovo’s readiness to facilitate contacts between the business community to explore opportunities for investment and trade exchanges. Among others, support for Kosovo’s from within the Caribbean Community of States (CARICOM) was also discussed. President Osmani praised the important role of Antigua and Barbuda in the region and the impact that its voice can have in strengthening Kosovo in the international arena. In the framework of multilateral cooperation, President Osmani expressed Kosovo’s readiness to be a constructive partner in international forums and to coordinate with Antigua and Barbuda on common priority issues, including climate sustainability, digital transformation and global peace and security. According to President Osmani, this meeting is an important step towards a stronger partnership between the two countries, therefore she emphasized the commitment to continue dialogue and cooperation in the future, for the benefit of the citizens of both countries.
