This is excellent news for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo! Today, in Washington, D.C., an agreement was signed on the mutual visa-free regime between Kosovo and Bahamas. Following the recognition of Kosovo by the Bahamas and the establishment of diplomatic relations in December, President Osmani and Prime Minister Davis agreed that this would be the next step. This step demonstrates a shared commitment to strengthening the partnership between Kosovo and the Bahamas and, above all, to strengthening ties between our citizens by bringing them even closer to one another.

On this anniversary, we pay tribute to the legacy of Smajl Hajdaraj, the deputy, relentless political activist, and commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army, who was treacherously killed in an ambush on 17 January 2002. Smajl was the voice of courage, the embodiment of resistance, and the spirit of a Kosovo that never yielded. The bullets that ended his life could not extinguish his ideals, and serving justice for him remains an obligation. May the glory to the life and legacy of Smajl Hajdaraj be eternal!
