On President's Day, as a sign of gratitude for the contribution to the freedom and independence of Kosovo, in the attendance of the US Deputy Ambassador Mr. Nicholas Giacobe and representatives of the “Vatra” association the President of the Republic of Kosovo Dr. Vjosa Osmani, bestowed on Mr. Jim Xhema the Order of Freedom.
He was previously awarded the Gold Medal of the League of Prizren by the historic president Dr. Ibrahim Rugova. At the same ceremony, President Osmani bestowed the Dr. Ibrahim Rugova Order to Mr. Christopher Hyland.
President Osmani praised the contribution of the awardees to the affirmation of the Kosovo issue over the years.
