The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani accompanied by the Prime Minister Albin Kurti, on the 24th anniversary of the student protests on October 1st, received at a meeting the wife, family members and associates of the former rector of UP Ejup Statovci.
President Osmani reconfirmed her praise for the former rector of UP Ejup Statovci.
“Prof. “Statovci led the students' protest against the Serbian regime, on October 1st, 1997. The remembrance of such events is a call for prudent and determined action towards strengthening of the statehood of Kosovo”, pointed out Madam President.
President Osmani said that the University, our students and teachers have rejected any ideology and have influenced in our mobilization for freedom.
“Education is one of the most important tools for building of democracy. “Societies that invest in knowledge and education, achieve faster and more sustainable development”, said President Osmani.
