The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received at a meeting a delegation consisting of the German MEP Svenja Hahn, member of the Hamburg Parliament Sami Musa, and representatives of the ALDE party and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation.
At the meeting with the delegation, President Osmani discussed the latest developments in the country and in the region.
President Osmani expressed her gratitude for the support from Germany to date and asked for it to continue further for the membership processes in the Council of Europe and other international organizations.
According to her, membership in the Council of Europe is for the benefit of all citizens of Kosovo without distinction in the function of the protection of human rights.
According to President Osmani, Kosovo has marked significant progress in the process of reforms in the rule of law and order and in the strengthening of democracy.
President Osmani also discussed the issue of visa liberalization after the October 13th meeting of the technical working group on visas of the EU Council. President Osmani emphasized that it is important that political decision-making is carried out during the Czech presidency, while the entry into force should not be conditioned by new criteria.
During the meeting, President Osmani and the German delegation also discussed the dialogue process with Serbia, in which Kosovo is a constructive party and that this process should be centered on mutual recognition.
