President Osmani participated at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum

During her stay in Turkey, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani participated at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, at which the issues of global governance and new approaches to global solutions were discussed.

President Osmani said that given the situation created by the COVID19 pandemic, in addition to the health emergency, it has increased the inequalities and has shown us that we need to review the current model of globalization as it has focused on the importance of multilateralism, and has sent a clear message on how unbalanced is the human activity towards the environment.

Following is President Osmani's entire post:

As part of the first session of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, together with Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo – President of Somalia, Uhuru Kenyatta – President of Kenya, Abdullah Abdullah – Chairman of the High Council of Afghanistan for National Reconciliation

Josep Borell – High Representative of the European Union and Vice President of the European Commission, and Mathias Cormann – Secretary-General of the OECD, we discussed global governance and new approaches to global solutions.

Given the situation created by the pandemic, I stressed that COVID19,  in addition to the health emergency, has increased the inequalities and has shown us that we need to review the current model of globalization as it has focused on the importance of multilateralism, and has sent a clear message on how unbalanced is the human activity towards the environment.

Expressing gratitude to the friendly countries and initiatives like COVAX for their help in these challenging times, I stressed that equally, we must further nurture solidarity, but always based on fair criteria and ensure that we rebuild through policies that promote all-inclusiveness and gender equality.
