The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani held a virtual working meeting with the USAID Kosovo team, chaired by the Director Mrs. Zeinah Salahi, and composed of leaders of various USAID programs in Kosovo. This meeting was also attended by the US Ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Jeffrey Hovenier.
The cooperation to date was discussed at the meetings, as well as the possibilities of further expansion of cooperation with USAID. Furthermore, USAID representatives presented the programs implemented in the Republic of Kosovo and the achievements of their engagements in our country.
President Osmani thanked Mrs. Salahi for the USAID support in many areas and in this context specifically mentioned the Development ObjectivesGrant. According to President Osmani, Kosovo still needs USAID support in many sectors, the strengthening of which will create opportunities to address Kosovo's developmental challenges.
At the end, USAID pledged to support the institution of the Presidency in implementing commitments arising from the Summit for Democracy, through engagement in specific areas and issues.
