Today, we mark one of the most important moments in the state history of Kosovo, the adoption of our Constitution, which on April 9th 2008, laid the legal and institutional foundations of our independent state.
The Constitution is our joint contract for a democratic, just, and equal society. It guarantees the fundamental freedoms and rights of every citizen, regardless of ethnicity, gender, or affiliation, establishing the rule of law as the foundation of the functioning of institutions.
On this day, we reaffirm our commitment to protect the Constitution, to implement it meticulously, and to abide by it in every decision, policy, and action. Only through strengthening the rule of law and respecting the constitutional order may we build a state that serves its citizens with dignity and justice.
A state that adheres to and respects the letter and spirit of the Constitution is the guarantor of a secure and just future for all of its citizens.
