Madam President: In every part of the world, Mother Teresa gave voice to the poor, the sick and the forgotten

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, said that from the small village of Letnica, where she heard the divine call, to St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican and then to every part of the world, Mother Teresa gave voice to the poor, the sick and the forgotten.

President Osmani wrote:

From the small village of Letnica, where she heard the divine call, to St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican and then to every part of the world, Mother Teresa gave voice to the poor, the sick and the forgotten, leaving behind an incomparable legacy of charity and humanity.

Her journey inspired millions of people. Saint Teresa’s works remind us of the power of charity and humanity, and her legacy is a call to each of us: to be close to others, to give love and hope, and to build a more just and peaceful world.
