The European University of Tirana (EUT) has bestowed the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa upon the President of the Republic of Kosovo Mr. Behgjet. The EUT will hand the title over to President at a solemn ceremony due to be held on Tuesday during an official visit that the President will pay to Albania.
“We remain marvelled by your extraordinary life example; by your excellent business achievements and career; by the way you have merged your carrier with a unique philanthropic activity and by your political engagement in exceptional and high-level lobbying activities. We knew how to defy prejudices typical to our societies, but yet we see in your engagement the strength and the creativity of an individual that has worked his way through his life by promoting his strengths, creativity and Albanian identity around the globe.
Given evidence of a multidimensional activity that elevates, above all, an Albanian individual in the global arena, the Academic Senate of our University has decided unanimously to confer the academic honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa in the field of business upon you, with the following motivation:
“For his excellent academic achievements; for his creative approach to construction business and inexpiable traces in construction works done around the world, from East to the West; for his remarkable sense of entrepreneurship displayed in establishing and managing successfully a global company like MABETEX; for his outstanding philanthropic activity inside his own country and abroad; for his active reconciliatory activities in the Kosovar Albanian politics, in the best spirit of his society”, reads, inter alia, the justification to the EUT decision on awarding the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to President Pacolli. Attendance at the solemn ceremony is expected to include highest Albanian political and institutional personalities.
