Acting President Albulena Haxhiu, on the occasion of the Day of Turks, April 23rd, a date that also coincides with the establishment of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and the journey of the modern Turkish state, received today Deputy Prime Minister Fikrim Damka and a delegation representing the Turkish community.
“I expressed my gratitude for the valuable contribution that the Turkish community has made over the years in building democratic institutions, public life and social development of Kosovo”, said Acting President Haxhiu.
Community’s role and involvement in education, culture and the country’s institutions, as well as the importance of preserving and promoting its identity were discussed at the meeting.
“I reconfirmed the readiness to further expand the cooperation and emphasized the importance of strengthening the excellent relations between Kosovo and Türkiye,” emphasized Acting President Haxhiu.
