The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga condemns the vandalizing of the property of the Decani Monastery as an hideous and unacceptable act.
President Jahjaga stressed that the vandalizing of a monument of cultural heritage and religious character does not contribute to the construction of trust between communities and contradicts with the values of interfaith and ethnic tolerance which are put in the cornerstone of the state of Kosovo.
President Jahjaga has welcomed the rapid actions of the order and security forces and encourages the bodies of justice to take measures against the perpetrators of this crime.
