The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani – Sadriu, accompanied by the first gentleman Prindon Sadriu, on the eve of the New Year visited the “Orphans of the Balkans” elderly nursing home in Suhareka, which has become a shelter for many elderly people, under the organization of Halil Kastrati and other charities.
President Osmani said that respect for the elderly is one of the best indicators for the progress of a society.
“They were a generation that sacrificed a lot for the state we have today, so they deserve our full support,” said President Osmani.
Below is Madam President's entire post:
Respect for the elderly is one of the best indicators of a society's progress. They were the generation that sacrificed a lot for the state we have today, so they deserve our full support.
Therefore, on the eve of New Year, today together with Prindon we visited the “Orphans of the Balkans” elderly nursing home in Suhareka, which has become a shelter for many elderly people, under the organization of Halil Kastrati and other charities.
This house, in addition to being a warm home to everyone, is also a place where the history and memories of each of them are stored. This large family opened its doors and ist heart to the people, some of whom are elderly, some are alone and some do not have the means to look after themselves.
Much love to each of the residents of this great house with wishes that throughout the year 2022, they and all of our elderly citizens are blessed with good health, mutual respect and harmony!
