On the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, Women Peace and Security International Forum will be held in Pristina on October 22nd and 23rd, the very first organization of its kind in the history of Kosovo. The forum is organized in cooperation with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mrs. Donika Gërvalla Schwarz and is supported by local and international partners.
In its first edition, WPS is expected to gather over 400 participants from different countries of the world, whose focus will be the treatment of issues related to women, peace and security.
World leaders, experts, academics, civil society representatives, youth and representatives from other interest groups are expected to participate in this Forum.
The forum aims to discuss not only the challenges facing global peace and security but also the treatment and eventual solutions.
Otherwise, WPS is a Forum that represents one of the commitments of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo made at the Summit for Democracy organized by US President Joe Biden.
President Osmani will announce the details of the WPS Forum at a media conference today at 1:30 p.m., at the cultural heritage facility – the Prishtina Hamam.
