At the opening of the first edition of the Forum for Women, Peace and Security, which begins tomorrow (Saturday) and is being held on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will address the participants with a special address.
The Forum for Women, Peace and Security, on the theme of “Building Alliances for Sustainable Peace”, is organized for the first time in Kosovo’s recent history and constitutes one of the commitments pledged at the Summit for Democracy.
Secretary Blinken's address is a demonstration of the continuous support and unwavering partnership between Kosovo and the USA that is based on the shared values of democracy, peace and prosperity.
Otherwise, the Forum in its first edition will gather 126 speakers from 33 countries, 6 continents and over 400 participants, who will during two days address issues related to women, peace and security.
World leaders, experts, academics, civil society representatives, youth and representatives from other interest groups are also expected to participate in this Forum.
