The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, was honored with the Key to the City of Waterbury by Mayor Paul K. Pernerewski Jr., on the occasion of her visit to this city in the state of Connecticut.
During her stay in Waterbury, President Osmani met with the Albanian diaspora living and working in this city, in an event that brought together numerous American friends, including United States senators, Connecticut state and local leaders, as well as representatives of our diaspora.
President Osmani expressed her gratitude for the hospitality of the city of Waterbury and the valuable contribution of our diaspora, underlining that the relationship between Kosovo and the United States is a friendship rooted in shared values of freedom and democracy.
