President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting Dr, Maitha Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates, with whom she discussed the expansion of the cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and United Arab Emirates in the fields of agriculture, infrastructure, economic development and filed of higher education.
President Jahjaga and Minister Dr. Maitha Salem Al Shamsi discussed the opportunity for building of a health centre for women and children within the UCCK, renovation of the Bin Zayed Health Centre built by the United Arab Emirates Peacekeeping troupes in Vushtrri, economic empowerment of women through a fund for development of small and medium size businesses by women in Kosovo, which would be established within the Ministry of Trade and Industry, as well as scholarships for students from Kosovo wanting to study at prestigious educational centres of UAE.
Minister Al Shamsi expressed the readiness of the United Arab Emirates to offer cooperation in all fields of mutual interest for both countries.
