The President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gül has sent a letter of congratulation to the President of the Republic of Kosovo Behgjet Pacolli on his new assignment.
The letter reads:
“Honourable President,
On behalf of the Turkish people and on my personal behalf, I want to convey to Your Excellency my heartiest congratulations on Your election as President of Republic of Kosovo.
I believe that, besides historic brotherhood and friendship between our countries, cooperation between us is also important to peace and stability in the Balkan and that, with your valuable engagement, you will help boost it further.
Turkey will continue to support Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration and its independence and territorial integrity, which is more than necessary to stability and peace in the region.
The Turkish people will continue to stand by the people of Kosovo in their endeavours to bequeath to the future generations a multiethnic, multicultural, democratic and prosperous Kosovo and a Kosovo of rule of law.
On this occasion, I want to extend to Your Excellency my best wishes for health and happiness as well as prosperity and welfare of the friend and brother people of Kosovo”.
