The President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, and the Prime Minister of Albania, Sali Berisha, met in Vlora

Prime Minister Berisha had yesterday afternoon a warm and friendly meetinging with the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, in the governmental residence in the city of Vlora, where she is spending several vacation days.

Wishing President Jahjaga a warm welcome, Prime Minister Berisha expressed his pleasure of I meeting her. The Prime Minister appreciated the role President Jahjaga has played and is playing in the growth and consolidation of the republic of Kosovo as a factor of peace and stability in the Balkans.

Prime Minister Berisha stressed that Kosovo’s overall progress, the functioning of the legal and institutional state have made Kosovo to become more and more an important factor of cooperation, understanding and regional integration. The Prime Minister also praised the determination of the authorities of the government of Kosovo to implement the constitutional law and order throughout its territory.

President Jahjaga expressed her satisfaction with the meeting and thanked Prime Minister Berisha for all the support he has given and gives to the Republic of Kosovo.

At this meeting it was discussed widely on political cooperation in all areas between Albania and Kosovo, about the joint effort in the further recognition and the consolidation of the international position of the Republic of Kosovo.
