May 14, 2020, Prishtina – The Preparatory Team, with the support of the Swiss Embassy, held a virtual meeting with transitional justice experts Yasmin Sooka and Mô Bleeker.
During this meeting, the entire work of the Preparatory Team was reviewed, with special emphasis on the comments given on the Draft Normative Act, a document created as a result of public consultations that took place in 2019.
Participants stressed that “this is a historic process” which is being done for the long-term benefit of the country.
The Preparatory Team for the establishment of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission thanked the experts for their valuable comments and time and stressed that the Commission in its formation will be independent of politics, with full integrity and Kosovar ownership.
