The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, participated in the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace at the invitation of the President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump. As a co-founding state alongside the United States, the Republic of Kosovo was elevated in the international arena and affirmed as a state in the service of global peace and security.
🇺🇸 During the inaugural meeting of the Peace Board, President Osmani had the opportunity to discuss with the President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, and many of his cabinet officials.
🇺🇸 During her stay in Washington, D.C., Madam President was received by the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, with whom she discussed concrete steps in bilateral cooperation, with a focus on further strengthening the Kosovo-US strategic partnership, advancing Kosovo’s integration into NATO, and the vital importance of cooperation in defense and economy.
🇺🇸 President Osmani also met with the Senior Official of the US Department of State, Brendan Hanrahan. On this occasion, she also met with the Senior Director for Europe and Russia at the National Security Council and the Special Advisor to President Trump, Charles McLaughlin, and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Daniel J. Lawton.
