Presidential delegation meets with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Alexander Kasanof

Yesterday, during their visit to Washington D.C., the President’s Chief of Staff Learta Hollaj and the Foreign Policy Advisor Rejhan Vuniqi, met with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Alexander Kasanof.

During the meeting, the latest developments in bilateral relations were discussed, with particular emphasis on the Kosovo-US Strategic Dialogue, which was reached at Madam President’s initiative. The areas that this strategic dialogue will cover, the expectations from this process, and other issues of common interest were also discussed.

Also, this being the first working day of the new administration led by President Trump, the Presidency confirmed its full commitment to the continuous expansion of relations and cooperation, emphasizing the importance of maintaining and advancing security and strengthening and international affirmation of the Republic of Kosovo.

Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Kasanof, emphasized the importance of continuing the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue process, while the Presidency reiterated the need for the dialogue to focus on mutual recognition.
