The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, gave a congratulatory message on the occasion of 2 July, stating that the Constitutional Declaration of 2 July 1990, announced by the 114 delegates of the Assembly of Kosovo, paved the way for the fulfilment of the centuries-old dream for the Republic of Kosovo.

The Constitutional Declaration of 2 July 1990, announced by the 114 delegates of the Assembly of Kosovo, paved the way for the fulfilment of the centuries-old dream for the Republic of Kosovo.
Their act proved that the path to becoming a state requires dedication, sacrifice and courage.
The delegates of that time combined these three characteristics, laying the foundation stone of the state of Kosovo, which was sealed on 17 February 2008.
The Constitutional Declaration of 2 July is an emblematic event, which marked our milestone for freedom and independence
2 July remains one of the most important dates for our country because its foundations rest on the decision of the delegates of that time.
